World War II Rationing Simulation

Before you begin, please read the following entry document which will provide you with some background information about World War II and rationing.
World War II was a global conflict that lasted from 1939 to 1945. It involved the majority of the world’s nations, including all of the great powers, organized into two opposing military alliances: the Allies and the Axis. The war was fought between two main groups of countries, the Allies (led by the United States, Great Britain, and the Soviet Union) and the Axis (led by Germany, Japan, and Italy).
During the war, many resources were diverted to military purposes, leading to shortages of basic goods such as food, gasoline, and rubber. In order to ensure that everyone had access to the same amount of food and supplies, the government implemented a system of rationing. Rationing was a system of food distribution during wartime that limited the amount of certain goods that people could buy.
The purpose of rationing was to make sure that the military had enough resources to fight the war and that everyone had equal access to food and supplies. Rationing also helped to prevent people from hoarding food and supplies, which could lead to shortages and price increases.
Each person was given a ration card, which was used to buy goods that were in short supply. The card had a certain number of points, and each item had a point value. People could only buy items that they had enough points for, and there were strict penalties for anyone caught trying to cheat the system. (I have not decided how to implement this part yet) Now that you have read this entry document, you are ready to participate in the World War II Rationing Simulation for High School Students.
