This year, however, we are embarking on a creative and exciting adventure. Inspired by a compilation of amusing dating videos from the 1980s, we will reimagine U.S. Presidents in a fun and educational light. We will create our own version of “Presidential Dating Profiles,” incorporating historical facts and a touch of humor.

Remember, history isn’t just about dates and facts—it’s about the people behind those facts, their personalities, their quirks, and the impacts they’ve made on our world. This project is designed to infuse creativity into our study of history, and to understand presidents not just as historical figures, but as individuals with distinct traits and attributes.

Requirements

To complete this project, you must adhere to the following guidelines:

  • Historical Facts: Include at least five historical facts about the chosen president. These facts can be events they participated in, accomplishments they achieved, or unique personal traits. At least two of these facts must be derived from primary sources.
  • Video Length: The video should be a minimum of two and a half minutes and should not exceed five minutes. The video will be a creative representation of the President’s dating profile. Remember, we are assuming the president is not currently married.
  • Documentation: Submit a Google document along with your video. The document should detail the five historical facts and the sources from which you acquired these facts. Additionally, the document should include a Bibliography in MLA format.
  • Personality: It is important that your video reflects the personality of the President, highlighting some of his unique characteristics. It should be an entertaining yet informative representation.
