The César E. Chávez Experience focuses on understanding the Migrant Worker’s Rights Movement of the 1950s and 60s. Different scenarios help the students focus on the different aspects of the movement and its leaders. It is actually a topic I found rarely taught in US History classes.
The site now contains three simulations around Cesar Chavez and the Migrant Worker’s Rights Movement. The first focuses on a townhall type simulation about the differing perspectives. The second is built around primary sources and the third is a simulation around the Delano Grape Boycott of 1965 to 1970.
