Using Rewordify to Help Understand Difficult Text

I struggled with if I would leave a Primary Source or Text as is or modify it for learners that struggle with reading comprehension. In addition, when looking at older sources word selection and word usage becomes very foreign to our students. I have found a tool that will help analyze and produce aids that can be utilized with augment the learning process. I have divided the process into two different methods an abbreviated method and a detailed method.

Process

Abbreviated

  1. Paste the text into the box
  2. Select “Rewordify text”
  3. Select “Print/Learning Activities”
  4. “change the level” allows you to change the vocabulary level
  5. Select Vocabulary list with definitions (or you can use text with vocabulary)

Detailed
